I share the real numbers, planning frameworks, and decision-making tools we use to travel long-term as a family of four, no fluff, no influencer nonsense.
If you’re serious about building more freedom into your family’s life, this is where to start.
I’m just a regular dad who wanted more time with my family, but I never imagined we’d be travelling through Latin America together. Life used to feel predictable, work, routine, always waiting for “someday.” I wanted more freedom for us, but stepping away from security felt risky, and I wasn’t sure we were being realistic.
Eventually we realised the bigger risk was staying comfortable. So we chose differently. We packed up, stepped into the unknown, and started building a life centred around travel and shared experiences as a family of four. Now we’re living that story and helping other families see they don’t have to wait either.
It’s not about quitting your job tomorrow or booking a one-way flight. It’s about asking better questions. What would more time together look like? What would freedom feel like for your family?
You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need a starting point. A clearer path. A bit of reassurance that this kind of life is possible, and practical.
We’ve made the mistakes, learned the lessons, and figured out what actually matters. If you’re wondering how to begin, what to plan first, or how to make travel work with kids…
We were just a normal family with normal responsibilities. A job. A mortgage. School runs. And a quiet feeling that there had to be more.
Choosing travel wasn’t about escape, it was about alignment. We wanted more time together. More presence. More memories that didn’t feel rushed.
If you’re wondering whether this kind of life is realistic, sustainable, or even possible, we’re here to show you exactly how we’re doing it.
Family Travel can be scary!
But here’s why we do it…

Not every destination is worth it. Not every trend makes sense for families. And not every “must-see” belongs on your itinerary.
These posts break down the real questions, the ones families actually wrestle with, so you can make confident decisions without second-guessing everything.
We’re sharing what we’ve learned the hard way, what we’d never do again, and how we decide what’s truly worth the time, money, and effort.
Peru isn’t just a bucket list destination, it’s layered, vibrant, and surprisingly family-friendly when you approach it the right way.
From wandering the streets of Cusco to watching the kids’ faces light up at Machu Picchu, Peru blends culture, adventure, and depth in a way few places can. Yes, there are mountains. Yes, there are ancient ruins. But there’s also warmth, color, food, and everyday moments that stay with you.
Travel here isn’t about rushing through highlights. It’s about choosing experiences that work for your family and embracing the rhythm of a country that rewards curiosity.
verpacking, airport meltdowns, wasted money, we’ve done it.
Here’s the exact toolkit we use to travel smarter.
